Jules Verne’s Vienna - Topological Translation

Vienna Technical University - Architekturwissenschaft - 2018

The project involved an analysis of the topology of the Guggenheim Museum in New York and subsequent translation of that topology to Naschmarkt in Vienna. The new topology of Naschmarkt was used to create a three-dimensional adaptation of the area which was then inserted into Chapter X of The Underground City by Jules Verne. The new text informed the presentation of the new adapted Naschmarkt with a focus on atmosphere.
